What is TOEFL IBT?
TOEFL iBT is the world’s best known and recognized test of English for use in academic settings. It is accepted around the world by universities, colleges, employers and governments as the standard in the measurement of English language fluency. The most “native” English word book made in the USA
As is widely known, the TOEIC and TOEFL examinations are conducted by the American company ETS (Educational Testing Service https://www.ets.org). On the other hand, AmEnglish is the only American company which cooperates with ETS and publishes official teaching materials for the TOEIC and TOEFL. In this book, AmEnglish stringently selected English words, sentences, and voices under the supervision of Dr. Philip Tabbiner (the former Senior Vice President at ETS).

Perfectly contains the essential meanings for the TOEFL TEST
English words does not necessarily contain a single meaning for one word. In fact, many of them have several meanings. Although other English word books available today specifically describe meanings of a word just like a dictionary, most learners cannot memorize all of them. In the first place, there is no need to “translate English to Japanese” when you use English.
Therefore, it is much more effective to focus on the core meaning which can be applied to other meanings than to try to memorize a lot of meanings. (3) Read aloud the keyword and the sentence together so that you can memorize them together.

[単語マスターのコツ】
(1) 一度に全部を覚えようとせず,何度も繰り返し学習する中で,次第に細かい情報を詰めていく
(2) すでに覚えている部分は軽く流し,まだ覚えていない部分を重点的に学習する(記憶の薄い部分をどんどんなくしていく)
(3) 見出語や例文を何度も「音読」して一緒に覚える
